Overview
- Heatbed equipped with embedded magnets that can withstand higher temperatures
- These magnets hold the removable spring steel sheets in place
- Specially developed print sheet for printing polyamide-based filaments
- PA-type materials generally do not adhere as well to textured or satin-finished sheets. This sheet has a special surface treatment that increases adhesion and is ideal for PA materials
Advantages
- Good for polyamide-based (PA) and PETG materials
- No need for a glue stick
- Can be cleaned using just water
Disadvantages
- Only suitable for polyamide-based materials and PETG. Other materials tend to come loose during printing
- The use of IPA and acetone may damage the print sheet
Warning!
The surface of this sheet must be cleaned with water only. The use of common agents such as IPA or acetone leads to quick degradation of the surface. It is no longer necessary or recommended to use a glue stick. To clean grease-coated areas, use clean water with a drop of dishwashing detergent.
Due to the temperatures the print sheet is exposed to while printing, its surface will gradually become glossier or may form dull patches. This visual change does not adversely affect the printing properties and is not considered a reason for a warranty claim.
With the original PRUSA XL, wear of the PA nylon sheet is particularly noticeable at the Z probing points where the nozzle leaves visible marks on the surface. This has no effect on surface adhesion or overall printing performance.
Consumables such as PEI sheets (smooth, textured, nylon etc.) are excluded from the warranty as the coatings are designed to diminish over time. The warranty still applies in the case of failure due to material or manufacturing faults. Cosmetic damage including but not limited to scratches, dents, cracks and other cosmetic faults are also not covered by the warranty. Only sheets which are defective on arrival are covered by the warranty.
