The kit provides two options for the user:

• 1. Re-milling the damaged sealing seat on the sump: Using the milling heads and expander guides, the sealing seat is planed precisely and, at the same time, aligned at a 90° angle to the sump thread. Also ideal for using oversize oil drain plugs, given that the free-hand oversize thread cutter often does not always cut at exactly 90° to the sealing surface.


• 2. Use of repair oil drain plug: The repair oil drain plug consists of two parts. The outer part features the original oil drain plug thread. The thread has a slightly conical shape, ensuring a solid and tight connection even where the oil sump thread is slightly damaged. This connection need not be re-opened during subsequent oil changes. Oil can be drained in future using the small central screw. A small stock of commercial copper and O-rings for subsequent oil changes is already included in the scope of delivery.
