Depending on the type of filter, the filter protects against the following gases/vapours:
- Type A protects against organic gases and vapours, e.g. solvents with a boiling point over +65 °C.
- Type B protects against inorganic gases and vapours, e.g. chlorine, hydrogen sulphide and hydrogen cyanide.
- Type E protects against acid gases and vapours, e.g. sulphur dioxide and hydrogen fluoride.
- Type K protects against ammonia and certain amines, e.g. ethylenediamine.
The SR 500/SR 500 EX fan unit must always be used with two particulate filters or two combination filters consisting of gas and particulate filters.
