The axial and radial forces acting on the tool during the lowering process are reduced enormously. The specially developed, variably running relief ensures a very smooth lowering process. This produces an exact, round and chatter-free counterbore surface.
Specially developed chip flow parameters, such as chip angle, transition radius and the extra wide clamping groove ensure optimum chip and heat dissipation and thus enable a very high wear resistance. In addition, the new geometry counteracts material welding and greatly reduces the countersinking forces.
Significantly less feed force is required during the countersinking process. Materials can be machined at either very high or low cutting speeds without reducing the quality of the countersinking result.
