- Composite filaments contain embedded fibrous material intended to enhance the mechanical properties of the printed object
- This additive, usually in the form of glass or carbon fibres, is highly abrasive and wears down standard brass nozzles extremely quickly
- Maintaining a smooth and unscathed nozzle interior, however, is essential for a clean printing process, which is why abrasive materials are always printed using harder hot-ends
- The nozzle is made from hardened steel with an extremely hard titanium nitride special ceramic coating
- The heater block is made from aluminium and is therefore extremely thermally conductive, reaching its target temperature faster
- The heatbreak is very thick and made from titanium, meaning it insulates more effectively against heat and is more robust
