The multi-functional stepped drill with AlCrN coating and unique SMART STEP technology for high-precision, flexible use in sheet metal and, for the first time, allows drilling of thicker workpieces made of conventional steel up to 1300 N/mm² strength, cast iron, aluminium, brass, bronze, Plexiglas, plastic, and wood.

Highly precise circular holes

No tool changes and shorter machining times

  • Eliminates predrilling with smaller twist drill bits, precise tapping without running-out of centre

  • Saves extra deburring, as the next larger step diameter performs this function

  • Combines numerous bore diameters in one tool

  • Very fast spot drilling and faster drilling process thanks to four high-performance cutting edges and SMART STEP technology

Flexible, “smart” use

  • For the first time, also suitable for up to 10 mm thick workpieces (in comparison, conventional stepped drill bits are limited to sheet thicknesses of 4 mm)

  • Specially designed version that combines all core hole dimensions (Ø 3.3–10.2 mm) for through hole threads M4–M12 to 1.5xD in a single tool

  • For use in cordless drills as well as on hand-held, pillar and upright drills.

  • Compared to using core drill bits with magnetic core drills, there are no problems in hard-to-reach places (e.g. on T-beams) or difficulties due to insufficient adhesive force

Extremely convenient drilling

  • Low-effort drilling

  • Completely smooth running without getting caught in the workpiece

  • No distortion of sheet metal

  • Easy to bore or enlarge an existing drill hole

  • Less force exerted on the tool during drilling

AlCrN multi-layer wear protection coating

  • Extremely high temperature resistance of up to 1050°C

  • Very high coating hardness of 3000 HV

  • Multilayer construction for optimum chip removal and improved cutting properties (prevents material wear)

3-face shank

Prevents spinning in the drill chuck, ensures optimal power transmission and protects the drill chuck from damage

Sustainable product packaging made from 100% PCR (recycled plastic from household waste), 100% recyclable and Cradle to Cradle Certified® bronze

Packaging unit

The packaging unit defines the number of articles in one packaging. In the catalog segment you can choose from different packaging units if a pop-up menu is displayed.

Just leave the field empty if you don't know the packaging unit when directly entering the article number in the shopping basket or when importing with Easy-/VarioScan. The packaging unit will be determined automatically.

Structure of our article number

The article number is made up of the following: VVVVAAABBB
VVVV = 4 digits for prefix number (please note that the first digit is currently always 0)
AAA = 3 digits for dimension part 1
BBB = 3 digits for dimension part 2

Example article number structures:
Example 1: Screw with dimensions of 4x10 mm:
VVVVAAABBB
00574 10 (2 spaces between the 4 and the 10)

Example 2: Screw with dimensions of 10x20 mm:
VVVVAAABBB
005710 20 (1 space between the 10 and the 20)

Example 3: Flat washer with an internal diameter of 6 mm:
VVVVAAABBB
04076
