1K polyurethane foam for securing insulation panels to façades

Tested product features

  • General construction permit issued by Deutsches Institut für Bautechnik (German Institute for Construction Technology)

  • Building material class B1 test certificate in accordance with DIN 4102-1:1998-05, issued by MPA Hanover

Reduces costs and amount of work required

  • Low material consumption

  • Savings in transport and storage

  • Time-consuming process of applying mortar no longer needed

  • Enables additional heat insulation

High degree of initial adhesion, even at low temperatures

  • Does not run — forms a firm, highly adhesive bead immediately

  • Resistant to low temperatures
Notice

Additional fastening of insulation boards may be required depending on the quality of the construction surface. Anchorage is always required at the foot of the building, on old plaster, concrete and on non-load-bearing surfaces. In addition, mechanical fastenings should be used from a height of 5 m.

Façade adhesive can be applied with PURlogic® Xpress, art. no. 0891 152 4 and PURlogic® COMBIpress, art. no. 0891 152 600, foam guns. Other guns are not compatible!

The usage instructions are recommendations based on the tests we have conducted and our experience; carry out your own tests before each application. Application area

Suitable for bonding insulation panels on exterior façades, internal walls, insulating elements and drain elements. Due to its excellent adhesive properties, its reduced foaming and its ability to quickly reach its final strength, the façade adhesive is suitable for a variety of other bonding tasks in insulating panels. Fixing roof insulation, fitting reveals and formwork, adhering wall-edge stripping are just a few examples. In addition, the façade adhesive can be used for heat-insulating and low-stress filling of joints and cavities, as well as between the insulation panels, such as beneath window sills.

Adheres to Styrofoam, Styrodur, mineral wool, polystyrene and polyurethane hard foam, corrosion-protected steel sheets, fibre cement, aerated concrete, particle board, hard PVC, stone, plaster, wood and emulsion paints; however, it does not adhere to polyethylene, silicone or PTFE.

Instructions

The surfaces for attaching insulation boards must be secure, flat, clean, free from dust and grease and other impurities. It is recommended that the surfaces are moistened with water prior to applying the adhesive.

Façade adhesive can be applied with PURLOGIC Xpress, art. no. 0891 152 4, and PURLOGIC COMBIpress, art. no 0891 152 6, foam guns. Other guns are not compatible!

First apply the façade adhesive to the edges and then apply in a W shape to the insulating board surfaces. The adhesive surface percentage of the pressed-on adhesive must achieve at least 40%. The insulation board can be attached to the wall one minute after applying the polyurethane adhesive to the board. Once the panel is secured, the PU adhesive stops expanding. It is possible to adapt the alignment of the insulation board within a maximum of 5-10 minutes after fastening to the wall. Any major uneven areas in the surface must treated with coarse lime cement mortar in advance. If there are spots of uneven areas on the wall, sand the inside of the insulation board to be laid so that the outside is even. If gaps need to be retained between the panels, these can be filled with façade adhesive.
